Job summary

Wheco is seeking a Retail Project Coordinator to drive the delivery of retail projects across our store network. You will collaborate with Retail Designers and Interior Designers to keep programmes, timelines and milestones on track, coordinating orders, suppliers and site requirements from planning through to completion.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 is required.
• Relevant qualification in Architectural Technology, Interior Design, Construction Management or Project Management.
• 2–3 years' relevant experience in architecture, interiors, construction or retail fit-outs.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel to stores and project sites.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate multiple retail design and construction projects across different sites and regions.
• Work closely with Retail Designers and Interior Designers to keep project programmes and milestones on track.
• Monitor schedules, deadlines, dependencies, risks and project progress across active projects.
• Check quotations, orders, quantities and project information for accuracy.
• Coordinate the timely placement of orders in line with project requirements.
• Coordinate suppliers, contractors, deliveries, site access, installations and site-specific requirements.
• Monitor lead times and follow up on outstanding items to prevent delays.
• Monitor site readiness and confirm that required materials, information and contractors are in place.
• Identify and elevate risks, delays or missing information.
• Maintain accurate project records, cost tracking, progress updates and closeout documentation.
