Minimum Requirements :

  • Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, Statistics, Data Analytics or related field.
  • Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in retail analytics, FMCG / CPG category management, pricing analytics, or a similar role.
  • Experience with retailer channels (DIY, home improvement, e-commerce) and syndicated data preferred.
  • Familiarity with pricing analysis or promotional effectiveness recommended.
  • Advanced Excel : PivotTables, VLOOKUP / INDEX-MATCH, Power Query / Pivot / Query.
  • Data Visualization : Power BI / Tableau.
  • Retail Tools : SAP (or equivalent) data extraction.

Duties :

  • Retail & Category Analysis : Analyze POS, internal sales to identify performance trends, growth segments, and opportunities.
  • Benchmark the company against competitors in coatings and small-project paint markets.
  • Assortment & Planogram Optimization : Lead range reviews and assortment gap analyses with major retailers.
  • Generate planograms, maintaining product libraries and assets.
  • Present shelf strategies and execution plans to retailers using data-driven approaches.
  • Pricing & Profitability : Implement Pricing Analytics to integrate pricing and promo data in category strategies.
  • Shopper & Promo Insights : Perform basket-level and promotional lift analysis to assess campaign success.
  • Translate shopper behaviour data into actionable insights.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration : Partner with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and e-commerce teams to align strategies and execution.
  • Provide category insights in retailer business reviews and Joint Business Plans.
  • Reporting & Dashboard Management : Build and maintain dashboards (Power BI, Tableau, Excel PivotTables, Power Query) to track key metrics like sales, market share, assortment width, and promo performance.
  • Deliver monthly and ad hoc analytical reporting.
