Job description

Job Reference:

JHB-LdS-1 Responsible for the management of the Centre.

Ensure investment growth and maximum income of the Centre through effective management and asset control.

Develop budgets, oversee leasing contracts, procure services, handle third-party service contracts, and direct maintenance procedures.

Ensure all buildings, grounds, and equipment are well maintained and in optimal condition.

Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Ensure purchased services are of acceptable quality at the lowest possible cost.

Keep Senior Management informed of activities and significant issues.

Train, direct, and appraise personnel.

Requirements:
  • Matric qualification.
  • Additional training in maintenance and Centre management preferred.
  • Understanding of Centre management procedures.
  • Knowledge of budgeting, service contracts, and leasing agreements.
  • Minimum five years of related experience, including at least two years in supervisory roles.
Duties:
  • Manage effective operations of the Centre and facilities.
  • Stay informed about market activities, tenant movement, and developments.
  • Attend relevant industry meetings.
  • Assist with a five-year maintenance plan and refurbishments.
  • Maintain project oversight and review building standards.
  • Provide accurate client reports and analyze financial statements.
  • Prepare and review budgets and forecasts.
  • Manage debtors and creditors, including legal actions if necessary.
  • Oversee parking management and tenant relations.
  • Negotiate leases, renewals, and manage tenant relationships.
  • Control expenses and ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Handle financial management, including monthly reports and operating costs.
  • Coordinate maintenance and asset management activities.
  • Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards.
  • Lead personnel management and team development activities.
