We are expanding and seeking Retail Assistant Managers for our Retail Store!
The role of the Retail Assistant Manager is to assist the Retail Manager in overseeing and leading all store operations, ensuring smooth functioning and profit optimization.
The Retail Assistant Manager will work to increase customer traffic by enhancing satisfaction and ensuring stock availability at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS
Grade 12 (Non-Negotiable)
Diploma/Degree in Retail, Business, or related field is advantageous
EXPERIENCE
Minimum 5 years in retail, preferably in a supervisory or leadership role
KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
Experience in managing inventory, staff, merchandising, costs, and profitability
Knowledge of stock management systems like ERP, Meat Matrix, etc.
Understanding of FMCG environment and legislation
Experience with perishable products, especially in the meat industry
Basic knowledge of retail consumer behavior and market trends
SKILLS REQUIRED
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Proficiency in MS Office
Strong analytical skills
Understanding of financial statements and basic financial systems
Excellent interpersonal and people management skills
Customer service orientation and self-motivation

Order placement, follow-up, and delivery management
Receiving stock, reporting damages, and stock data entry
Managing stock levels, shrinkage, and depletion reports
2. Housekeeping
Maintaining cleanliness and HACCP standards throughout the store
Adhering to OHSA regulations
3. Employee Management
Recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management
Employee relations, wellness, and motivation
4. Store Organisation
Product display, merchandising, and store layout management
Managing non-moving items and promotional displays
5. Cash Management
Daily cash-ups, cash loss prevention, and safe cash handling
Security of cash and ATM transactions
Customer service excellence and complaint management
Analyzing customer patterns and implementing improvement activities
6. System Administration
Managing staff clocking systems, CCTV, security, and alarm systems
