JOB ROLE REQUIREMENTS :

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Grade 12 / Matric (Minimum Requirement)

EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum of 1-2 years experience in a retail environment.
  • MS Office with a specific focus on MS Excel (Beginner to Intermediate Level).
  • Previous experience in stock handling systems.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

  • Customer Service, Stock Ordering, Pricing, Product Knowledge, and Cold Chain.

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • English Proficiency (reading, writing, and speaking).
  • Strong administration skills.
  • Computer Literacy.
  • Time Management and Organisation Skills.
  • Ability to work in cold environments.
  • Participation in stocktakes with a focus on counting accuracy.
  • Assist in merchandising products using the FIFO principle in designated store areas.
  • Relationship building, especially with suppliers.
  • Effective communication with customers, suppliers, colleagues, and management.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (KPAs)

JOB ACTIVITIES

1. Data Handling

  • Conduct stock takes, e.g., draw SOH (Stock On Hand Report) and compare with physical stock count.
  • Receiving, capturing, crediting, and transferring stock continuously.

2. Stock Knowledge

  • Extensive knowledge of company products to handle stock accurately on the system.

3. Month-end Processes

  • Ensure month-end reports are accurate and up to date (e.g., no negative lines).

4. Administration

  • Keep invoice files up to date and correctly filed.
  • Track invoices and credit notes via email/telephone and follow up as needed, e.g., with Eskort Factory and small suppliers (including Twiza, Coke, and Crown National).
  • Reconcile statements daily and weekly.
  • Handle reporting and administration related to stocktakes, sales, and other retail duties.

5. Team and Management Skills

  • Engage regularly with merchandisers regarding physical stock counts.
  • Report daily to the Retail Manager and Retail Assistant Manager.
  • Ensure adherence to all required standards.
