RETAIL ACCOUNT LEAD

Overview: About the role

As Retail Account Lead, you will:

1. Engage with cross-functional teams to manage activity grids and support.
2. Manage the Key Accounts team to achieve key financial KPIs.
3. Manage the Field Ops team to achieve forward share targets, FOCO execution, and regional sales targets.
4. Work with the Sales OPS team to build and manage joint business plans and customer strategies.
5. Build a performance-driven team focused on achieving company KPIs.
6. Manage P&L and financial objectives based on budgets.

About the Team / Department

You will report to the Sales Director and manage a team of 5 people.

Responsibilities

Manage Retail Accounts Team (Spar and Pick n Pay) to deliver:

• Sales in / sales out
• Profitability
• Gross to Net (Trade Spend)

Manage the National Field Ops team to:

• Manage regional teams to execute scorecards (forward share, regional sales targets, FOCO activity, and distribution).

Experience you'll bring

• 3 to 5 years of experience in direct team management and managing national/regional teams.
• Experience negotiating national trading terms and managing grids.
• Solid history of managing sales, driving distribution, and achieving financial KPIs.

Behaviors you'll need

• Experience in field operations and agent management is advantageous.
• Strong customer relationship skills within FMCG.
• Ability to build joint business plans and execute them with cross-functional teams.
