Qualifications
- Matric
- 3-5 years restaurant management experience
- Driver's License
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Attention to detail and accuracy

- Ability to manage a team within a restaurant and kitchen
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Knowledge of restaurant operations including people, product, and customer processes
- Financial and business acumen
- Coaching and mentoring skills
Responsibilities
People Management
- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with employees, providing coaching, mentorship, and guidance
- Implement corrective actions, performance management, or disciplinary processes as needed
- Conduct performance reviews for Assistant and Junior Restaurant Managers, including personal development plans
- Manage disciplinary hearings and monitor behavior to prevent abuse
- Handle Department of Labour inspections and audits in collaboration with HRBP
- Create a learning and development environment
- Manage payroll processes according to company policies
Operational Management
- Ensure excellent customer service and efficient operations
- Monitor compliance with brand and operational standards
- Address operational queries and breaches
- Conduct weekly and period close GP counts
- Lead weekly management meetings
- Implement improvement plans based on quarterly reviews
- Coordinate with facilities and maintenance teams
- Work with Loss Prevention to manage risks
Financial Management
- Contribute to budget development and monitor financial performance
- Maintain financial controls and review income statements
- Manage income and expenses to meet sales and profit targets
- Review and approve invoices and resolve cash shortages
Marketing Management
- Review and improve brand touchpoints quarterly
- Plan and execute community initiatives and CSI programs
- Identify opportunities to increase sales and promote the restaurant
- Build relationships with the local community to increase large-scale orders
