Duties & Responsibilities include :

  1. Available to greet members and guests and provide exceptional service and attention at all times.
  2. Able to communicate with the kitchen and members on food preparation, menus, functions, and timing.
  3. Assist in planning and implementing procedures for all club functions and food & beverage events.
  4. Able to communicate fully with clients, guests, and wait staff on pre- and post-function operations.
  5. Assist F&B manager in day-to-day operations, administration, controls, and reporting on a professional level.
  6. Ensure all standard operating procedures for revenue and cost control are in place and consistently utilized.
  7. Deliver training to staff on service and product knowledge.
  8. Help develop wine menus and meet with beverage suppliers to source artisan wines and exciting products.
  9. Manage weekly rostering of F&B staff, overtime, and report weekly on staff hours with the F&B manager.
  10. Ensure daily cleanliness and presentation of all clubhouse areas meet high standards, with attention to detail.
  11. Maintain appearance, upkeep, and controls of all food and beverage equipment, reducing breakages or shrinkage.
  12. Ensure overall cleanliness of men’s locker room and staff facilities.
  13. Report and ensure maintenance issues are resolved promptly and within budget.
  14. Assist with monthly stock takes of all beverage areas and wine cellar.
  15. Host evening functions and cellar dinners, ensuring exceptional service throughout the members'/guests' dining experience.
  16. Assist in handling complaints and report to F&B or general manager for corrective action.
  17. Uphold health and safety regulations in public and staff areas.
  18. Support company policies and procedures, report staff issues, and manage discipline accordingly.

Skills and Attributes required :

  1. Ability to interact positively with supervisors, management, colleagues, members, and guests to promote teamwork and professionalism.

  8. Familiarity with Jonas Club management system.

  12. Minimum of 5 years experience in a 5-star restaurant, hotel, or upmarket golf environment.
  13. Valid qualification in Food and Beverage Management.
