Job description

Restaurant Manager required to lead the front-of-house team and deliver a seamless dining experience on a par with the best in the world. Contemporary fine dining in the heart of Cape Town.

Responsibilities:

  1. Uphold our Client's reputation for excellence at all times
  2. Lead, inspire and mentor their service team
  3. Ensure that every guest experience is exceptional and unforgettable
  4. Deliver a refined yet warm service
  5. Train and inspire a high-performance team that anticipates guest's needs
  6. Oversee the smooth day-to-day running of the restaurant, maintaining impeccable service standards and efficiency
  7. Work closely with the sommelier and bar team to curate and enhance the beverage pairing experience
  8. Ensure constant innovation in service and guest engagement
  9. Take responsibility for daily cash-ups, staff rosters, wages and stock-takes
  10. Control costs while maximising revenue

Requirements:

  1. Proven experience in leading Eat Out 3 plate, Michelin-starred or World's 50 Best-calibre restaurants
  2. A natural leader with a passion for service, hospitality, and guest engagement
  3. Deep understanding of global fine dining trends, luxury service, and wine pairing
  4. Exceptional organisational and operational management skills.
  5. Lightspeed or Marketman experience (or similar) would be advantageous
  6. Ability to work under pressure, maintaining a calm, composed, and inspiring presence
  7. Strong relationship-building skills with guests, team members, and industry professionals
  8. International experience is a plus
