We are currently recruiting for a Restaurant General Manager responsible for the day-to-day operations of a high-end restaurant, ensuring smooth and efficient service, customer satisfaction, and profitability.

The role includes managing staff, overseeing operations, handling finances, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Staff Management: Hiring, training, scheduling, and evaluating staff.
2. Operational Management: Overseeing all aspects of daily restaurant operations, from front of house to kitchen.
3. Financial Management: Managing budgets, forecasting revenue, controlling costs, and ensuring profitability.
4. Customer Satisfaction: Ensuring high-quality service, addressing complaints, and fostering a positive dining experience.
5. Compliance: Ensuring adherence to health, safety, and licensing regulations.
6. Marketing and Promotion: Developing strategies to attract customers and increase sales.
7. Inventory Management: Managing inventory, ordering supplies, and negotiating with vendors.
8. Menu Development: Collaborating with kitchen staff to develop and update menus.
9. Performance Improvement: Identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies.
10. Team Leadership: Motivating staff to achieve restaurant goals.
11. Problem Solving: Addressing issues promptly to maintain smooth operations.

Requirements:

• Grade 12A formal qualification
• 5-8 years' experience managing a busy high-end restaurant
• Strong knowledge of front and back of house operations, including food, beverages, staff supervision, inventory, and food safety
• Understanding of cost and labour systems to ensure profitability
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Experience working with budgets, payroll, revenue, and forecasting
• Ability to handle customer interactions professionally
• Strong multitasking and prioritization skills
• Quick issue resolution capabilities
