Job description

High-end Restaurant based in Rosebank is looking for a Restaurant FOH Manager to assist the General Manager in organizing and running the restaurant's activities in accordance with the company's standards.

The FOH Manager is responsible for the day-to-day functions of the restaurant, food & beverage departments, training, and managing restaurant staff.

Duties :

  • Responsible for FOH duties and ensuring excellent guest relations
  • Responsible for helping the restaurant meet service, sales, and profit objectives
  • Supervising and directing associates in daily work activities
  • Ensuring proper training of employees
  • Maintaining good customer and public relations
  • Ensuring that guests have a positive and memorable experience every time they visit
  • Ensuring proper compliance with cash control procedures, and performing related accounting and administrative reports as required
  • Manage Daily Operations and POS functions
  • Check Inventory, order FOH Supplies
  • Inspect, open, and close the restaurant in accordance with daily checklists
  • Enforce Company Policies and Procedures with Cash handling & reconciliation

Requirements :

  • Grade 12
  • A formal F&B / Hospitality Management qualification will be an advantage
  • At least 2 - 3 years’ experience in a guest-facing FOH position
  • Ability to multitask and change priorities constantly as needed in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated with a high degree of integrity, honesty, and ethics; Self-starter, flexible, and able to work independently
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Good communication skills for dealing with diverse staff
