Restaurant Area Manager

Job Description

Red Ember Recruitment is seeking a self-directed and detail-oriented Restaurant Area Manager in the Cape Town area.

The ideal candidate should possess strong organizational skills and have experience leading and working as part of a team in the hospitality or food industry.

This position requires a vehicle due to travel between stores.

Key Responsibilities

1. Stay updated with emerging trends affecting the business.
2. Demonstrate ownership and accountability by continuously improving restaurant operating standards and taking corrective actions.
3. Monitor poorly performing restaurants.
4. Implement and execute corrective action plans to enhance restaurant performance and profitability.
5. Ensure compliance with standards and regulations of the Operations team.
6. Identify and communicate operational and financial risks, creating corrective action plans.
7. Monitor and improve restaurant profitability.
8. Submit daily, weekly, monthly, and other required reports promptly.
9. Provide leadership, coaching, and strategic direction to restaurant management teams.

Requirements

• Proven experience at a multisite management level.
• Tertiary qualification (advantageous).
• Strong leadership abilities with effective delegation skills.
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• High attention to detail and process-driven mindset.
• Analytical skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Discretion and integrity.
• Problem analysis and-solving skills.
• Stress tolerance and decision-making capabilities.
• Extensive market knowledge and experience working across various functions, businesses, and regions.
• Previous knowledge of Micros advantageous.
