Are you an experienced civil engineering professional looking to be part of impactful infrastructure projects?

A leading consulting engineering firm is seeking a Resident Engineer to join their site-based team in Gauteng for a 16-month contract.

This role will focus on water and sewer pipeline projects, offering hands-on involvement and real-time project delivery experience.

What You'll Be Doing :

1. Oversee site-based construction monitoring of water and sanitation works.
2. Ensure full compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
3. Measure and verify quantities, check contractor statements, and prepare payment certificates.
4. Liaise with contractors, the employer, and internal project teams.
5. Attend site meetings, compile progress reports, and evaluate material testing and control.
6. Manage as-built documentation and contribute to the project completion report.
7. Ensure adherence to ISO standards, internal project management protocols, and health & safety standards.

What We're Looking For :

1. BSc / BEng / BTech / Advanced Diploma in Civil Engineering.
2. Registered with ECSA as a Candidate Engineer or Technologist.
3. SACPCMP registration in Project / Construction Management (advantageous).
4. Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience as Resident Engineer on large-scale civil engineering projects.
5. Experience with projects valued at R7.5 million each.
6. Solid knowledge of materials, construction monitoring, specifications, and testing procedures.
7. Highly organized, hands-on, and effective in managing multiple stakeholders.
