Job summary

Well respected engineering consultancy in KwaZulu-Natal is seeking a Resident Engineer with pipeline experience (diameter >200mm) for a bulk water supply scheme in Nkandla. The role is permanent and starts ASAP.

The ideal candidate will hold a BTech or BSc, have 3–5 years as a Resident Engineer on pipelines, and be able to chair progress and technical meetings. Registration with ECSA would be beneficial and GCC 2010/2015 knowledge is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years experience as a Resident Engineer on pipeline contracts of diameter >200mm.
• Registration with ECSA would be beneficial.
• Able to work independently and effectively problem solve.
• Must be very knowledgeable on GCC 2010/2015.
• Must have a BTech or BSc Degree.
• Must be able to chair progress and technical meetings.
• Must have code B.
• Strong communication and administration skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as Resident Engineer on pipeline projects.
• Chair progress and technical meetings.
• Ensure compliance with GCC 2010/2015 and project specifications.
• Coordinate with stakeholders for on-site construction activities.
