Job summary

A leading recruitment firm is seeking a Reservations Agent to assist guests with room reservations and coordinate guest services in a high standard hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will have a tertiary qualification in Hospitality & Tourism, at least 5 years of experience in central reservations, and strong customer service skills. Familiarity with reservation software, particularly Benson, is advantageous.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in central reservations roles essential.

Job description

Assist guests with making room reservations via phone, email, or in person.

  1. Check room availability and provide accurate information to guests.
  2. Enter reservation details into the BENSON system accurately and completely.
  3. Communicate with guests to confirm reservations, answer questions, and provide information about room rates, packages, and special offers.
  4. Maintain accurate and organized reservation records.
  5. Address booking modifications, cancellations, and special requests in accordance with hotel policies.

Coordination and Upselling:

  1. Coordinate with hotel departments to ensure a high standard of guest experience.
  2. Upsell other properties within the group.
  3. Maintain excellent relationships with operators and travel agents.
  4. Ensure expertise on all property information is maintained at all times.

Position Information:

Tertiary qualification in Hospitality & Tourism is preferred. Customer service qualifications are advantageous.

Experience:
