Primary Role
Your primary role will be to participate in participant recruitment, enrolment, and various research activities related to the study.
Participant Recruitment and Enrolment
- Recruit potential participants for the study.
- Ensure potential participants are provided with all study details as outlined in the Participant Information Sheet.
- Administer informed consent.
- Recruit and schedule appointments for study participants.
- Assist the study coordinator in planning recruitment schedules.
- Conduct enrolment activities.
Research-Related Activities
- Ensure proper documentation of all study activities.
- Administer data collection instruments using RedCap as required.
- Collect biological specimens (sputum, hair, urine).
- Reimburse participants and complete reimbursement logs.
- Collect adherence data from electronic data monitoring devices.
- Perform quality checks on collected data.
- Resolve data queries.
- Complete and submit study case report forms (CRFs) and source documents promptly.
- Ensure all participant records are complete and accurately filed, adhering to documentation procedures.
- Maintain accurate logs related to enrolment, biological specimens, and other activities.
- Manage stock of project supplies.
- Report daily/weekly activities to the Coordinator and meet enrolment and follow-up targets.
Participant Retention
Responsibilities include:
- Obtaining, verifying, and updating detailed locator data for all visits.
- Reminding participants of upcoming appointments when possible.
- Following up with participants to ensure study completion.
- Recommending retention strategies to study management.
General Administration
- Preparing participant files and documents.
- Safely storing and transporting study documents and specimens.
- Attending study meetings to report progress.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
