Qualifications

• Familiarity with HPLC and UV-Vis spectroscopy is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; good teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation and characterization of pharmaceutical dosage forms (tablets, capsules, injectables).
• Perform pre-formulation studies (solubility, stability, compatibility).

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Research Assistant to support their Pharmaceutical Sciences division in Mossel Bay . This role involves providing essential laboratory support for drug discovery and development projects, focusing on formulation, pre-formulation studies, and analytical testing. You will work under the supervision of senior scientists, contributing to the design and execution of experiments aimed at developing novel pharmaceutical formulations. The position requires a keen eye for detail, proficiency in laboratory techniques, and a commitment to scientific rigor. This hybrid role allows for focused lab work complemented by remote data analysis and reporting, offering a dynamic and flexible research environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and characterization of various pharmaceutical dosage forms (e.g., tablets, capsules, injectables).
• Perform pre-formulation studies, including solubility, stability, and compatibility assessments.
• Conduct analytical testing of raw materials and finished products using techniques such as HPLC, UV-Vis, and dissolution testing.
• Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory records, documenting experimental procedures, results, and observations.

• Support senior scientists in data analysis, report generation, and literature reviews.

Requirements
