Key Purpose

To provide support to the Reputation Management function and to contribute to the delivery of professional and efficient influencer relations. To ensure that media and other audiences have a clear and continued understanding of the company's strategy, performance, products, and key initiatives.

Areas of Responsibility
  1. Support the Reputation Management function and contribute to the delivery of professional and efficient influencer relations, across traditional and social media.
  2. Ensure that media and other audiences have a clear and continued understanding of the company's strategy, performance, products, and key initiatives.
  3. Provide strategic and administrative assistance to the Head of Reputation Management and deliver a professional media relations service for Discovery.
  4. Build and maintain good relationships with journalists, bloggers, influencers, and other stakeholders.
  5. Assist with events such as media conferences, results presentations, and sponsorship activities.
  6. Support campaigns across Discovery by defining goals, analyzing problems, and exploring brand promotion opportunities.
  7. Provide strategic reputation support and take accountability for PR and social media elements of projects.
  8. Create content, develop ideas, write, curate, and produce reports.
  9. Coordinate media releases, speeches, social media content, videos, and other external communications.
  10. Respond promptly to queries from individuals, journalists, and organizations.
  11. Monitor industry developments and provide feedback.
  12. Develop innovative influencer marketing approaches.

Education & Experience
  • Honours degree in Media, Corporate Communications, PR, Business Studies or similar.
  • Minimum 3-5 years in media/stakeholder relations within corporate communications, PR, digital, or marketing, preferably in financial services or management consulting.
  • Agency or consultancy experience is advantageous.
  • Experience in financial services sector is preferable.
  • Proven media relations network.
