POSITION OVERVIEW

The Reporting Accounting Manager will support the global finance function. The hours of work may need to be amended from time to time when performing cross-border work across different time zones. The successful candidate will be a collaborative team player who shares knowledge and contributes to a positive working environment.

The Team

The Shared Services Finance team provides strong financial support, reports monthly performance to management and the parent company, and ensures a robust financial control environment. We support all teams with a Business Partnering approach; candidates should be prepared to become a Finance Business Partner within the company, supporting all levels of staff across our business.

Effective communication with non-finance colleagues in a friendly manner is essential. The role requires teamwork and independent initiative.

Location & Schedule

Applicants MUST be based in Cape Town.

Working hours: 08:30 – 17:30, Monday to Friday.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

The candidate should demonstrate enthusiasm, confidence, flexibility, and organizational skills, including multitasking, prioritizing, and effective communication. The role involves:

  • Financial and compliance reporting (semi-monthly, monthly, quarterly, annual)
  • System ownership and upgrades management
  • Overseeing management accounts preparation
  • Investigating technical issues and finding solutions
  • Preparing and monitoring the close calendar
  • Financial data review and analysis
  • Developing/enhancing accounting policies
  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and planning
  • Managing transactional finance and automation
  • Leading the implementation of General Ledger and Financial Systems
  • Ensuring tax compliance
  • Managing operational bank accounts and cash flow forecasting
  • External audit liaison
  • Maintaining transfer pricing documentation
  • Collaborating with finance teams for real-time financial information
  • Supporting special projects with management and parent company
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This role is primarily office-based, involving sedentary work, computer use, and occasional movement within the office. Lifting objects up to 40 pounds may be required.
