Lyra Services South Africa are recruiting a Business Intelligence & Consulting Reporting Analyst to support with international business requirements.

This is a full-time role, working 5 days per week, based in South Africa.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Reporting and analytics: Elicit and document detailed customer and business reporting requirements. Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications that will guide the BI Development team and external service provider (online dashboard).
  2. Data Analysis: Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights. Format reports according to company guidelines. Utilize data to support informed decision-making for our customers, for the team, and for the business.
  3. Process Improvement: Evaluate and optimize existing BI & Consulting reporting and analytics processes. Identify areas for efficiency and value gains.
  4. BI & Consulting processes modelling: Create and maintain BI & Consulting process models (flowcharts and/or diagrams). Support the development of data models to represent data entities and relationships.
  5. Documentation: Prepare clear and comprehensive documentation, including business requirements documents, case studies, and online dashboard guides.
  6. Stakeholder Communication: Communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure alignment and understanding of analytics and reporting objectives.
  7. Project Management: Participate in project planning and management, including defining project scope, timelines, and resource allocation.
  8. Data Reporting: Generate reports and dashboards to support customer reporting needs and internal decision making. Utilize reporting tools and BI software as necessary.
  9. Quality Assurance: Check accuracy of data and ensure that reporting and analytics meet quality standards and are aligned with best practices.
  10. Research, Industry, and Technology Knowledge: Conduct regular research into employee wellbeing and mental health. Leverage the use of AI to enhance customer reporting insights. Ensure dissemination of research into the team. Stay informed about industry trends, emerging analytics and reporting technologies, and best practices.
  11. Testing: Plan and conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate that reporting solutions meet business requirements.
  12. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend solutions.
  13. Collaboration: Collaborate with client services, team members, and the greater business to share knowledge and best practices.
  14. Vendor and Tool Evaluation: Assess and recommend tools that can enhance BI & C reporting and analytics.
Requirements
  • Tertiary degree or diploma in Social Sciences / Humanities, Sociology, Health Sciences, Data Analytics, Science, Finance or Business Management.
  • Minimum of 5 years' data / information analysis, preferably in an EAP environment.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Advanced PowerPoint skills.
  • Report writing ability.
  • Ability to craft meaningful insights and recommendations based on EAP data.
