Job description

Role Purpose

To manage and ensure the correct operational control over the Factory replenishment function, starting with effective production planning. This results in the most effective and efficient plan for the factory, improving forecast accuracy and buying, and ensuring stock availability to achieve 98% fulfillment of the production plan. The Factory Replenishment Manager will also oversee all inbound stock, ensuring accurate counting and control at all points, and will be responsible for staff management and development, supporting effective processes within the team. All activities must adhere to safety and quality standards.

Requirements
  • Degree/qualification in Stores Management/Supply Chain or related field preferred
  • At least 5 years of experience in stores/stock and team management
  • Computer literate with experience in an integrated ERP system
  • Strong track record of inventory control
  • Knowledge of production planning
  • Excellent analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
  • Assertiveness and ability to manage and build a successful team
  • Enthusiastic and results-driven
  • A valid Code B driver’s license is advantageous
  • Willing to work long hours, weekends, and public holidays when required
  • Honest with strong personal ethics and experience working in a confidential environment
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Ensure effective control and supply of materials to production based on the published production plan, maintaining 100% adherence.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Dry Stores Department, ensuring internal controls and procedures are in place.
  • Manage stock effectively, including risk management, lot control, and expiry dates.
  • Maintain accuracy in the BPCS system through proper warehousing and inventory control procedures.
  • Identify and highlight stock at risk, redundant, short-dated, or expired.
  • Provide feedback on variances in store control areas.
  • Collaborate with the Buyer to maintain stock levels in line with business objectives, managing working capital and mitigating risks.
  • Ensure raw materials and packaging are available on time to support the production plan.
  • Manage quality claims and material returns with the Buyer and suppliers.
  • Build and maintain good relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure the production plan is optimized for efficiency, loss reduction, and PVA.
  • Ensure adherence to planning rules between factory and supply chain.
  • Align internal stakeholders with the production plan.
  • Complete daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
  • Manage the department's budget, including labor, overtime, maintenance, and logistics costs.
  • Proactively identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Verify and sign off cycle stock counts and manage stock counts.
  • Prepare and analyze month-end reports and KPIs, explaining variances to management.
  • Adhere to SHER requirements and food safety standards, both onsite and offsite.
  • Maintain good housekeeping at all times.
  • Develop and support team members through work development and delegation.
  • Set clear KPIs and accountability for team members.
  • Manage the department as a mini business unit.
  • Participate in site operational meetings and lead site projects, ensuring effective implementation of new initiatives and liaising with external stakeholders.
