Job description

We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused Rental Sales Agent to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling rental bookings, promoting additional products / services, and delivering excellent customer service throughout the rental process. This is a fast-paced, front-line position requiring strong sales ability, communication skills, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Customer Service & Bookings

Greet and assist customers in a professional and friendly manner

2. Handle telephone, online, and walk-in rental enquiries and bookings
3. Provide product information, rental options, rates, terms, and conditions
4. Upsell additional services (e.g., insurance cover, GPS, baby seats)
5. Sales & Target Achievement

Maximize revenue through effective up-selling and cross-selling

6. Meet or exceed individual and team sales targets
7. Educate clients on rental options and value-added services
8. Administration & Documentation

Process rental agreements accurately and efficiently

9. Inspect vehicles with clients and document pre / post-rental conditions
10. Manage payments, deposits, and refunds
11. Fleet Coordination

Coordinate with fleet controllers to ensure vehicle availability

12. Assist with vehicle check-ins, check-outs, and cleanliness
13. Liaise with workshop team regarding vehicle servicing or repairs

Requirements :

1. Education : Grade 12 (Matric) minimum
2. Experience : Minimum 1–2 years in a customer service / sales or car rental environment
3. Skills :

Excellent verbal and written communication (Afrikaans & English)

4. Strong sales ability and negotiation skills
5. Computer literate (MS Office, rental booking systems)
6. Organised with good time management and multi-tasking ability
7. Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
