Job Responsibilities
- Supervise all aspects of fleet operations and finance administration to protect company assets, minimize risk, and enhance revenue collection.
- Guide the administration team to achieve rental targets.
- Manage all rental and demo vehicles, ensuring R&M contracts are renewed as needed.
- Ensure all vehicles are listed on the insurance policy and manage the insurance claims process.
- Adhere to regulatory requirements such as registrations, license renewals, vehicle de-registrations, and payment of fines and e-tolls.
- Monitor the replacement period of each truck based on mileage and maintenance costs.
- Ensure services are carried out as scheduled.
- Update the Rental Register daily.
- Ensure check-in and check-out forms are completed accurately, and all documents and photographs are properly filed.
- Verify the accuracy of calculations and invoicing for all internal and external amounts.
- Prepare month-end reports.
- Monitor cost recoveries.
- Keep supplier accounts up to date and ensure timely payments.
- Oversee that overdue amounts on customer accounts are minimized.
- Monitor staff leave, time, and attendance for accuracy.
Minimum Requirements
- Completed matric and university education in Sales or an equivalent field.
- Prior experience in rental operations, preferably in the commercial vehicle industry.
- Managerial experience is advantageous.
- Valid driving license (Code 14).
