POSITION INFO :

The Rental Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for managing all aspects of property maintenance for rental units. This includes coordinating repairs, arranging regular inspections, and ensuring that properties are well-maintained to provide a safe and comfortable living environment for tenants and landlords.

Key Responsibilities :

  1. Maintenance Coordination :
    • Schedule and oversee routine and emergency maintenance and repairs.
    • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and service providers to ensure timely and quality work.
    • Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, costs, and completed work via RedRabbit.
  2. Property Inspections :
    • Conduct regular property inspections to identify maintenance needs.
    • Document inspection findings and initiate necessary maintenance or repairs.
    • Respond promptly to tenant maintenance requests and concerns.
    • Communicate effectively with tenants and landlords about maintenance schedules and progress.
    • Provide exceptional customer service to maintain positive tenant and landlord relationships.
  3. Budget Management :
    • Assist in preparing and managing the maintenance budget where applicable for landlords.
    • Monitor expenses and ensure maintenance activities stay within budget.
  4. Administrative Tasks :
    • Maintain an organised filing system for maintenance records, work orders, and invoices via RedRabbit and WeconnectU.
    • Prepare and submit regular reports on maintenance activities and property conditions to the Portfolio Manager.

Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in property management or maintenance is a plus.
  • Proven experience in property maintenance, property management, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Knowledge of Rental Housing Act advantageous.
  • Proficiency in using RedRabbit and WeconnectU.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
