Job description

Meet the team:

The Renewals Manager role is a highly visible, strategic position responsible for empowering key customers to continue transforming their businesses and surpass their objectives through Cisco solutions.

This role is part of the Customer Experience (CX) organization, one of Cisco’s fastest-growing teams, which delivers profitable growth throughout the customer lifecycle by employing various selling strategies to drive higher value and create an efficient experience with Cisco solutions.

Your Impact:

You will be accountable for managing a portfolio of renewal contracts for Cisco products and services within assigned customer accounts. You will collaborate with customers, partners, and Cisco teams to understand requirements and objectives, developing strategies to ensure timely renewals while minimizing renewal risks and financial attrition.

You will utilize your negotiation skills and coordinate cross-functional resources across Cisco and with partners to secure renewals. Demonstrating leadership and financial acumen, you will develop and implement policies for forecasting, data quality, and accuracy.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Experience with services, subscriptions, and software offerings.
  • Strong leadership skills with a focus on contract negotiation and strategy.
  • Experience working with internal teams such as Sales and Account Managers.
  • Ability to engage with external stakeholders, especially service providers in Sub-Saharan Africa.
  • Knowledge of Cisco’s portfolio, including Smart Licenses and Enterprise Agreements (EAs).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Proficiency in selling existing portfolios, up-selling, and contract renewals.
  • Understanding of customer and partner procurement processes to facilitate renewal activities.
  • Analytical skills to monitor market trends and competitor activities, providing actionable insights.
  • Relevant degrees or industry certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP, COBIT, Six Sigma).
  • Proficiency with Salesforce and Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
