Main Purpose of the Job

Research, establish, and maintain competitive remuneration practices to attract and retain staff while ensuring affordability and sustainability for the organization.

Key Responsibility Areas
  • Align total employee costs with the job market.
  • Manage remuneration policies and practices to control salary costs within the corporate mandate.
  • Ensure job grading is equitable and reflects the specific job worth.
  • Manage and oversee the organization’s management information for the Human Resources department.
  • Lead and manage people.
Required Education

BCom degree or a related qualification (essential).

Required Experience

At least 5 years of experience in remuneration management and 3 years of managerial experience (essential).

Required Job Skills and Knowledge
  • Accounting and economics.
  • Remuneration principles, best practices, and related software and systems.
  • Written and presentation skills.
  • Organizational design, systems and processes interrelatedness, industry trends, and general business concepts.
  • Human resource management.
  • Staffing budget management principles and monitoring.
  • Mathematics, modeling, and costing.
  • Relevant legislative regulations, including but not limited to the Basic Conditions of Employment Act, Employment Equity Act, and Labour Relations Act.
