Job summary

A leading company in HR is seeking a specialist to provide technical leadership in HRIS and remuneration practices. The role involves project management, user training, and maintenance of HR systems to support effective operations. Candidates should have relevant experience and qualifications in IT systems, HRIS management, and compensation.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of IT systems experience, including 2 years with HR systems.
  • Experience managing HRIS for at least 2 years.
  • Experience in compensation management is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct salary studies and develop salary ranges while maintaining internal pay parity.
  • Train users on HR systems and validate data integrity.
  • Provide consulting to system users supporting HRIS and remuneration projects.

Job description

Responsible for providing specialist technical leadership in remuneration and HR Information systems.

In addition, takes the lead for planning, project coordination, management, and support in developing a cost-effective human resources information system (HRIS) and remuneration practices while concurrently facilitating efficient operations to meet current and future business needs within the HR organization.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES :

Compensation and Benefit Management

Conduct salary studies and market analysis to gain insights into common market practices.

Develop salary ranges and coordinate approval processes through the leadership of the Head of Talent & Culture.

Lead the job evaluation process and maintain job profile data to ensure internal parity and equitable pay.

Research, develop, and implement an Integrated Total Reward system.

Provide Training & Leadership on HR systems

Train and support the business community in navigating the SAGE People system to access organizational structures, statistical reports, and update personnel biographical details.

Provide user and technical support on all HR systems (Learner Management System, Performance Management, Talent, iRecruit, Job Management, etc.).

Offer user training (business-wide) to enable effective system use and understanding of security applications.

Maintenance of HR Systems

Establish controls for creating, maintaining, and restructuring positions as needed.

Update SAGE People modules to reflect restructuring or reorganization of positions or departments.

Maintain information on Performance and Talent Management systems.

Troubleshooting and Data Validation on HR People Modules

Validate and maintain HR system data to ensure integrity and accuracy in management reporting.

Identify operational system weaknesses and recommend remedies.

Conduct user needs analysis, liaise with development teams, and test and implement system improvements.

Consulting and Project Management

Manage HRIS and Remuneration projects.

Provide consulting to system users, including proposing software development solutions.

Support project managers with technical and user support across HR systems.

REQUIRED MINIMUM AND ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's Degree (NQF 7) in Behavioural Science, BCom, or equivalent.

At least 5 years of IT systems experience, including 2 years related to HR systems and 3 years in Compensation.

2 years of experience managing HRIS.

Experience in compensation, benefits, and job evaluation is an advantage.

SARA Certification and Job Evaluation Certification are advantageous.
