Placements24 is seeking an enthusiastic Apprentice Web Developer to join remotely from Randburg. This role focuses on front-end and back-end development, with guidance from senior developers on real projects.

You will learn HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and backend basics (Python/Django or Node.js) through hands-on tasks, code reviews, testing, and deployment, while building a strong foundation in modern web technologies.

Qualifications

• Foundational understanding of programming concepts.
• Eagerness to learn web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, possibly a backend language).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Completed Grade 12 with emphasis on Maths; coding bootcamps or personal projects are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and maintaining responsive websites and web applications using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Learn backend languages and frameworks (e.g., Python/Django, Node.js/Express) under guidance.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Assist in testing websites and applications to ensure functionality and performance.
• Help troubleshoot and debug code to resolve issues.
• Collaborate with designers and project managers to implement new features and designs.
