Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a creative Visual Merchandiser to elevate a client’s brand presence across online and physical retail channels. This fully remote role in South Africa allows you to contribute your visual expertise from anywhere, with occasional travel to Stellenbosch in the Western Cape.

You will develop and implement merchandising strategies, create mood boards, and collaborate with marketing and e-commerce teams to align product launches with campaigns.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Visual Merchandiser with a strong portfolio.
• Strong artistic and creative skills with a keen eye for color and detail.
• Experience in digital merchandising and creating online visual content.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and design engaging visual merchandising displays for online platforms and physical retail environments.
• Develop and maintain visual merchandising guidelines and standards to ensure brand consistency.
• Collaborate with marketing and e-commerce teams to align visual strategies with product launches and campaigns.
• Create mood boards, sketches, and digital mockups to present visual concepts.
• Source and manage props, fixtures, and other display materials.
• Advise on store layouts and product placement to optimize customer flow and visibility.
• Stay current with industry trends and innovative visual merchandising techniques.
• Develop digital assets for online merchandising and ensure impactful product imagery.
• Provide remote guidance and support to stores or external teams for display execution.
• Analyze effectiveness of merchandising initiatives and adjust strategies.
