Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a creative Visual Merchandiser to join a fully remote team. You will translate brand identity into compelling online and offline displays, shaping brand aesthetics from anywhere in South Africa.

You will develop visual strategies, curate online product presentations, and collaborate with marketing and product teams to ensure cohesive brand representation across channels. A strong portfolio and knowledge of color theory are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Visual Merchandiser in retail or fashion.
• Strong portfolio showcasing visual merchandising projects.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
• Excellent understanding of color theory, layout, and spatial design.
• Remote-capable with strong time-management and communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Visual Merchandising or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement visual merchandising strategies aligned with brand guidelines and marketing goals.
• Create detailed visuals, mood boards, and presentations for product displays and online content.
• Collaborate with marketing, e-commerce, and product teams for cohesive brand representation.
• Design and curate product assortments for online platforms focusing on visual appeal and UX.
• Provide guidance for in-store visuals via documentation and virtual consultations.
• Analyze sales data and customer feedback to assess effectiveness of merchandising strategies.
• Stay updated on visual merchandising trends and industry best practices.
• Source and manage relationships with suppliers and contractors when needed.
• Develop digital assets, including photography guidelines and layout suggestions for websites.
