Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Remote Transportation Network Planner to design, optimize, and manage a global transportation network from a remote location. You will analyze flows, identify bottlenecks, and develop strategic solutions using data and modeling tools.

The role emphasizes remote collaboration, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to lead multi-project initiatives in a distributed team environment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, OR related field.
• Minimum 6 years in transportation management, network design, or logistics planning.
• Strong expertise in network optimization software (Llamasoft, AnyLogic) and analytics.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, Tableau, and Power BI for data analysis and visualization.
• Knowledge of transportation modes, carriers, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and continuously optimize the transportation network to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Analyze transportation data, including routes, modes, carrier performance, and costs, to identify improvements.
• Use network modeling software to simulate scenarios and evaluate changes.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and partners to gather requirements and implement solutions.
• Develop and maintain transportation KPIs and reporting with insights and recommendations.
• Identify opportunities for strategic route planning, load consolidation, and mode selection.
• Assess and manage risks, developing contingency plans.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in transportation and logistics.
• Provide guidance on network strategy and operational improvements.
• Support the development and implementation of new transportation technologies and systems.
