Placements24 is hiring a licensed Mental Health Therapist for a fully remote position serving clients nationwide in South Africa. You will conduct therapy sessions via secure video, develop treatment plans, and provide evidence-based interventions for anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues.

The role requires a valid SA license, 3+ years post-licensure experience, and strong telehealth capabilities with EHR proficiency. A private home office and reliable internet are essential.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field.
• Current and valid professional license to practice therapy in South Africa.
• Minimum of 3 years post-licensure clinical psychotherapy experience.
• Experience delivering therapy remotely via telehealth platforms.
• Proficiency with telehealth software, secure tools and EHR.

Responsibilities

• Conduct remote assessments and diagnoses of mental health conditions.
• Provide individual and possibly couples or family therapy via secure video.
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans.
• Offer counseling for anxiety, depression, PTSD and life transitions.
• Maintain confidential client records per ethical and legal standards.
• Utilize digital platforms for scheduling, communication and progress tracking.
• Stay current with best practices in tele-mental health.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals when needed.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and supervision.
• Contribute to online psychoeducational materials for clients.
