Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Remote Supply Chain Optimization Specialist to analyze and redesign supply chain processes from anywhere. You will develop data-driven strategies to reduce costs, improve delivery times, and enhance overall performance, working with internal teams and external partners across procurement, production, and logistics.

The role requires strong analytical and communication skills, 5+ years in SC/analytics, and experience with SAP/Oracle JDA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, or a related analytical role.
• Proven experience in supply chain optimization, cost reduction, and process improvement initiatives.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in data analysis and modeling tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, R).

Responsibilities

• Analyze end-to-end supply chain processes, identifying areas for improvement in inventory management, logistics, and distribution.
• Develop and implement data-driven strategies to optimize supply chain costs and improve service levels.
• Collaborate remotely with internal teams (procurement, production, sales) and external partners (suppliers, carriers) to ensure seamless operations.
• Utilize advanced analytics and modeling tools to forecast demand, manage inventory, and plan logistics.
• Design and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure supply chain performance and identify trends.
• Stay informed about industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes impacting supply chains.
• Manage supplier relationships and performance, negotiating contracts and service level agreements where applicable.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, developing contingency plans.
• Document and communicate supply chain strategies, improvements, and performance reports to stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain function.
