Placements24 is seeking a remote Structural Drafter to join a distributed engineering team across South Africa. You will translate structural designs into precise drawings and 3D models, ensuring clear, compliant documentation using AutoCAD and Revit Structure.

In this fully remote role, you will collaborate with engineers online, manage deadlines, and maintain organized project files while delivering accurate BoQ, drawings, and updated revisions for diverse SA projects.

Qualifications

• National Diploma or equivalent qualification in Draughting or Civil Engineering Technology.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Structural Drafter.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit Structure.
• Strong understanding of structural principles and construction methods.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drawings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed structural drawings, plans, sections, and elevations based on engineering designs and specifications.
• Create 3D models of structural components and assemblies using CAD software.
• Ensure all drafted work adheres to relevant industry standards, building codes, and client requirements.
• Coordinate with structural engineers to clarify design intent and incorporate revisions efficiently.
• Produce Bills of Quantities (BoQ) and material take-offs from detailed drawings as required.
• Maintain organized electronic drawing files and project documentation.
• Review structural calculations and ensure their correct representation in drawings.
