Job summary

Somewhere is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting for a multi-entity organization. This full-time, independent contractor, remote role follows US work hours and reports to the Controller.

You will maintain records, process vendor invoices and expenses in Sage Intacct and Fyle, and assist with month-end close, reconciliations, and internal controls. Ideal candidates have 2–4 years of full-cycle accounting, a solid US GAAP foundation, strong Excel skills, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 2–4 years of full-cycle accounting experience.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP and general ledger mechanics.
• Experience with Sage Intacct and expense platforms (Fyle) is a strong plus.
• Proficient Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP) and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Support daily accounting across multiple entities and maintain accurate records.
• Process vendor invoices and expenses in Sage Intacct and Fyle with proper coding and approvals.
• Assist month-end close with reconciliations and supporting schedules.
