Key Responsibilities

  1. Conduct virtual speech and language therapy assessments for clients across different age groups.
  2. Develop and implement individualized therapy plans in alignment with clients' goals and needs.
  3. Provide direct therapy services to clients via teletherapy platforms such as TheraPlatform, Medbridge, or similar.
  4. Collaborate with caregivers, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive support.
  5. Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to achieve optimal outcomes.
  6. Ensure compliance with US and UK regulations, including HIPAA and GDPR standards.
  7. Maintain detailed and accurate clinical documentation and progress reports.
  8. Participate in virtual IEP (Individualized Education Plan) meetings and contribute to goal setting for students.
  9. Provide guidance and supervision to Speech Therapy Assistants as needed.
  10. Stay informed about industry advancements and best practices in remote speech therapy.

Skills Required

  1. Strong diagnostic and treatment planning skills for various speech and language disorders.
  2. Proficiency in using telehealth platforms and electronic health records (EHR) such as TheraPlatform, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams.
  3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage clients and their families remotely.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.

  3. Registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) or equivalent.
  4. Experience working with pediatric and/or adult clients in a school or clinical setting.
  5. Strong internet connectivity and a professional home office setup suitable for remote sessions.
  6. Willingness to work flexible hours aligned with US/UK time zones.
  7. Knowledge of US/UK educational frameworks and therapy models is advantageous.
  8. Familiarity with compliance requirements such as HIPAA and GDPR.
