Placements24 is seeking a Senior Software Engineering Lead to guide a fully remote engineering team through the complete software development lifecycle. You will architect scalable systems, mentor engineers, and drive best practices in code quality, testing, and agile processes.

The role emphasizes leadership in technical decisions, collaboration with product managers, and delivering robust, secure software for a cutting-edge fintech platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of professional software development experience, with at least 3 years in a technical leadership or lead engineer role.
• Proven experience in architecting and building complex, scalable software systems.
• Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, Go, Node.js).
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design principles.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and microservices architecture.
• Solid understanding of agile development methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead and collaborate remotely.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, providing technical guidance and fostering a collaborative development environment.
• Architect, design, and implement scalable, high-performance, and maintainable software solutions.
• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Drive the adoption of best practices in software development, including TDD, BDD, CI/CD, and code reviews.
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality, robust, and secure code.
• Participate in and lead code reviews, providing constructive feedback to team members.
• Identify and address technical debt, continuously improving the codebase and development processes.
• Contribute to technical roadmap planning and technology selection decisions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
• Promote a culture of innovation, learning, and continuous improvement within the engineering team.
