Job summary

Lifted, an Upwork Company™, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help build and improve an AI-powered recruiting platform used by staffing organizations. This role spans full stack development, AI integration, and connections to Salesforce and ATS, with a focus on reliable, scalable integrations.

Enterprise experience is preferred. This is a remote contract engagement at 40 hours per week, with CET working hours. The candidate should be based in an eligible EMEA location.

Qualifications

• Fluency in Dutch and English required.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience expected.
• Demonstrated leadership in design and delivery across systems.
• Proficiency in Python and API/backend work.
• Experience with AI tools, prompt iteration, and guardrails.
• Experience with frontend web applications and client communication.
• Familiarity with Django or Flask is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Adapt and implement LLM-powered features for staffing workflows and partner systems.
• Own cross-system solutions from design through delivery.
• Plan work in testable increments and coordinate changes with partner teams.
• Engage stakeholders and users to shape product and technical decisions.
• Prototype ideas with users and assess feedback for direction.
• Define technical options and communicate constraints and tradeoffs.
• Maintain integrations with solid design, tests, reviews, and monitoring.
