About the Role

This is a fully remote position for a Senior Security Analyst specializing in Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR). Our client, a fast-paced cybersecurity firm, is looking for an experienced professional to enhance its threat detection capabilities. You will be responsible for managing, tuning, and optimizing EDR solutions to identify and neutralize advanced threats targeting endpoints. This role requires a deep understanding of endpoint security, threat intelligence, and incident response methodologies. Key Responsibilities

• Manage, configure, and optimize EDR solutions to ensure maximum effectiveness in threat detection.
• Analyze EDR alerts, investigate suspicious activities, and perform incident response activities.
• Develop and implement custom detection rules, queries, and threat hunting playbooks for EDR platforms.
• Collaborate with threat intelligence teams to integrate new indicators of compromise (IOCs) and threat actor tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
• Perform forensic analysis on endpoint systems to understand the scope and impact of security incidents.
• Stay current with the latest endpoint threats, vulnerabilities, and EDR technologies.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior security analysts.
• Contribute to the development of security policies and procedures related to endpoint security.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in information security, with at least 3 years focused on endpoint security and EDR technologies.
• Proven experience with major EDR solutions (e.g., CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, Carbon Black, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint).
• Strong understanding of operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), network protocols, and common attack vectors.
• Experience with threat hunting and forensic analysis techniques.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
