Placements24 is seeking a visionary Senior R&D Chemical Engineer to lead innovation in chemical processes and materials. This fully remote role focuses on reaction engineering, catalysis, and advanced characterization, driving scalable, sustainable solutions across a global team.

You will mentor researchers, manage projects end-to-end, and translate ideas into pilot-scale demonstrations, leveraging modeling tools and cross-functional collaboration to push scientific boundaries.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in chemical R&D.
• Proven track record of developing new chemical processes or materials.
• Expertise in reaction engineering, catalysis, or materials science.
• Proficiency in computational modeling and simulation software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with experience presenting complex technical information.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fully remote setting.
• Strong project management and leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the R&D of new chemical processes and technologies.
• Design and conduct experiments to explore novel reactions and material syntheses.
• Develop and optimize scalable, efficient, and sustainable processes.
• Use modeling and simulation tools to predict process behavior.
• Characterize new materials and products with analytical techniques.
