Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Senior Production Planner to join a fully remote manufacturing-focused team. You will develop detailed production plans, forecast demand, and optimize inventory while coordinating with sales, procurement, and manufacturing to ensure timely material availability.

You will model scenarios using APS tools, analyze data for forecasting improvements, and drive continuous improvement in planning and supply chain efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in production planning, scheduling, or supply chain in manufacturing.
• Proven experience with ERP and APS software (e.g., SAP APO, Oracle ASCP, Kinaxis).
• Strong understanding of inventory management, demand forecasting, and capacity planning.
• Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain long-term and short-term production plans based on demand forecasts and resources.
• Coordinate with sales, procurement, and manufacturing to ensure execution of schedules.
• Optimize inventory levels for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
• Use APS software to model scenarios and identify production strategies.
• Analyze production data to improve forecasting and planning accuracy.
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely material delivery.
• Manage capacity planning and resource allocation to meet demand.
• Identify bottlenecks or disruptions and proactively address them.
• Prepare reports on production status, inventory, and KPIs for management.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in planning and supply chain.
