Placements24 seeks a Senior Process Development Engineer to lead the development and scaling of novel chemical processes from lab concept to pilot plant and commercial production, working remotely with a focus on the Cape Town area.

You will collaborate with global R&D, engineering, and manufacturing teams to translate ideas into robust, sustainable manufacturing processes, delivering technical reports and recommendations from a home office.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Chemical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in process development and scale-up.
• Proven expertise in laboratory experimentation, pilot plant operations, and chemical process design.
• Strong analytical skills and experience with statistical design of experiments (DoE).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly to diverse audiences.
