Job summary

Placements24 seeks an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer for a fully remote role. You will design, develop and implement complex electrical systems for industrial applications, ensuring reliability, safety and efficiency.

You will collaborate with hardware and software teams across projects from home offices while mentoring junior engineers. The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, 7+ years in industrial electrical design, strong CAD skills, and familiarity with IEC/NEC

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in electrical design engineering, preferably in industrial automation.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a remote work environment.
• Strong knowledge of electrical theory, circuit design, power systems and control systems.
• Proficiency in electrical CAD software (AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN).
• Experience with safety standards and regulations for industrial electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical schematics, control panels, and power distribution systems.
• Select appropriate electrical components, hardware, and equipment for industrial applications.
• Oversee integration of electrical systems with mechanical and software components.
• Perform electrical calculations including load analysis, short circuit studies, and arc flash assessments.
• Ensure designs comply with IEC, NEC and safety regulations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues remotely with on-site support when required.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and specifications.
• Create and maintain design documentation, including BOMs, drawings and test procedures.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in electrical design processes and standards.
• Mentor junior electrical engineers and provide technical guidance.
