Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Clinical Research Associate with a dermatology focus for a fully remote role within South Africa. The position supports monitoring, site management, and regulatory compliance across dermatology trials, with occasional visits to Randburg, Gauteng when needed.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in CRA roles, strong GCP/ICH knowledge, and experience with CTMS/EDC systems, enabling effective remote trial monitoring and collaboration with investigators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Nursing, Pharmacy, or related field.
• Master's degree or equivalent advanced degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years as a Clinical Research Associate with dermatology or related area.
• In-depth knowledge of GCP, ICH guidelines, FDA/EMA requirements.
• Proven monitoring experience including site visits, data review, and regulatory checks.
• Familiarity with dermatology endpoints and patient populations.
• Excellent communication and ability to work remotely.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and manage trial activities per protocols, GCP, and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct site selection, qualification, initiation, monitoring, and close-out visits.
• Verify data accuracy via source documents and CRFs.
• Ensure investigational products are stored and dispensed correctly at sites.
• Monitor subject safety; report AEs and SAEs promptly.
• Build strong relationships with investigators and site staff.
• Prepare and present study progress reports to management.
• Assist in development of study documents including protocols and consent forms.
• Identify risks and issues and propose mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with company research policies.
