Job summary

MMS is seeking a Senior Data Team Lead for a home-based role out of any location in South Africa. You will manage the end-to-end data management lifecycle, interact with clients, and ensure data quality and regulatory compliance.

The role requires extensive data management experience, leadership, and strong SAS/EDC capabilities, with a focus on drug development data handling and standards compliance.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in data management field with 3+ years leading projects.
• Expert knowledge of scientific principles and concepts.
• Intermidiate SAS or other programming skills with relational databases.
• Experience with paper CRF systems, EDC, and hybrid CDM systems.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 would be a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee data management from study setup to close-out; primary client contact.
• Ensure data management aligns with GCP/ICH and FDA requirements.
• Review protocols with clients and advise on database capture of protocol information.
• Mentor and train new clinical data managers; create training exercises.
• Oversee data management documentation: CRFs, design specs, data management plan.
