Placements24 seeks a senior data scientist specializing in predictive modeling to join a fully remote team. You will develop advanced statistical and ML models, transform large datasets, and communicate results to both technical and non-technical audiences.

You will mentor junior data scientists, contribute to data science strategy, and work with cross-functional teams to drive business impact. A PhD or Master’s in a quantitative field and 6+ years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, CS, Data Science.
• Minimum 6 years of professional data science experience focusing on predictive modeling.
• Strong modeling, evaluation, and ML deployment expertise.
• Proficient in Python or R with relevant libraries.
• Experience with SQL and large distributed datasets.

Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and deploy predictive models using ML, statistics, and deep learning.
• Clean, transform, and analyze large complex datasets to identify trends.
• Design A/B tests and experiments to evaluate models and business impact.
• Collaborate with product, engineers, and stakeholders to define scope and deliverables.
• Communicate findings clearly via visualizations and presentations.
• Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to data science infrastructure.
