You will extract, transform, and analyze complex datasets to deliver actionable insights that guide strategic decisions, build dashboards, and support product, marketing, and engineering initiatives.

In a remote-first environment, you will design data models, implement data quality checks, mentor junior analysts, and stay ahead of BI trends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a similar role.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL for complex data manipulation and extraction.
• Extensive experience with at least one major BI tool (Tableau/Power BI/Looker).
• Strong understanding of statistical concepts and analytical methodologies.
• Experience with data modeling and database concepts.

About the Role

Our client, a rapidly growing FinTech company, is seeking a highly experienced Remote Senior Data Analyst to join their expanding Business Intelligence team. This role is fully remote, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within South Africa. You will be instrumental in extracting, transforming, and analyzing complex datasets to provide actionable insights that drive strategic business decisions. This position requires a deep understanding of data warehousing, BI tools, and advanced analytical techniques. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product, marketing, and engineering, to identify key performance indicators, develop dashboards, and present findings to stakeholders. Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a similar role.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL for complex data manipulation and extraction.
• Extensive experience with at least one major BI tool (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
• Strong understanding of statistical concepts and analytical methodologies.
• Experience with data modeling and database concepts.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work with large, complex datasets.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex findings effectively.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a remote setting.
• Familiarity with Python or R for data analysis is a plus.
