Placements24 is seeking a Senior Concept Artist specializing in environments and props to define the visual direction for upcoming game projects. This remote role involves collaborating with art directors, level designers, and 3D artists to craft compelling worlds and reusable asset references.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in game concept art, strong Photoshop skills, and a track record of delivering high-quality environmental designs across varied styles.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of professional concept art experience in the game industry.
• Portfolio demonstrating expertise in environment and prop design.
• Proficiency with Photoshop.
• Strong drawing, rendering, composition, and color theory skills.
• Experience working in a remote or distributed team.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Nice to have knowledge of Blender or Maya.
• Ability to adapt to different artistic styles.
• Self-motivated with strong time management.

Responsibilities

• Create high-quality concept art for environments, architecture, props, and vehicles.
• Develop visual styles, mood boards, and detailed illustrations to guide the 3D art team.
• Iterate on designs based on feedback from art directors and stakeholders.
• Explore and define the aesthetic and functionality of game assets and environments.
• Work collaboratively in a remote setting, participating in ideation.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior concept artists remotely.
• Manage time effectively to meet project deadlines.
