Placements24 is seeking a Senior Computational Chemist for a fully remote role focused on accelerating drug discovery through advanced computational methods. You will design molecular modeling studies, lead optimization, and ADMET predictions while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate holds a PhD in a related field with at least five years of experience in computational chemistry, proficient in Schrödinger, MOE, AMBER, GROMACS, Gaussian or ORCA, and skilled in Python

Qualifications

• PhD in Computational Chemistry or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in computational chemistry with drug discovery focus.
• Proficiency in molecular modeling and quantum chemistry packages.
• Experience with scripting (Python) and cheminformatics toolkits.
• Strong collaboration in remote teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and run molecular modeling studies (MD, docking, QM).
• Develop methods for virtual screening, lead optimization, and ADMET prediction.
• Collaborate with medicinal chemists to interpret results and guide synthesis.
• Build/manage chemical databases; develop cheminformatics tools/workflows.
• Stay updated on advances in computational chemistry and drug discovery.
