Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain embedded software for avionics systems, adhering to strict safety and reliability standards.
• Write high-quality, well-documented, and testable code in C/C++ for real-time embedded systems.
• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, verification, and validation.
• Develop and execute unit tests, integration tests, and system tests to ensure software meets specifications and performance requirements.
• Collaborate closely with hardware engineers, systems engineers, and certification authorities throughout the development process.
• Troubleshoot and debug software issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of software design documents, test plans, and verification reports.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in avionics technology, software development practices, and relevant industry standards (e.g., DO-178C).
• Participate in peer code reviews and contribute to architectural design discussions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in embedded software development, with a significant focus on avionics systems.
• Proven experience with safety-critical software development lifecycle and certification processes (e.g., DO-178C).
• Strong proficiency in C and C++ programming languages.
• Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and embedded systems.
• Familiarity with software configuration management tools (e.g., Git, SVN) and bug tracking systems.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Strong understanding of avionics architectures and communication protocols (e.g., ARINC 429, ARINC 664).
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a remote team setting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
